The Arc ADventures in Learning:
Friendships – How to Create and Keep Healthy Relationships For High School Students and Young Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Learning how to make friends can be both a challenging and rewarding experience. Friends provide emotional support, teach us new things about the world, and make life easier in general.
Presented by The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties (RSVP Required by Sept 9th, 2020)
5-wEEK COURSE: Saturdays (12:30pm – 4pm) Sept 12th – Oct 10th 2020
Cost: Free
Location: Hosted online, via Zoom
Information: Space is limited to 10 individuals
Intent: The facilitator Cynde Vaughn, MSW will provide appropriate education and support to ensure that young people with IDD learn how to integrate themselves in the community, avoid exploitive relationships, and expand their social circle.
