Social Media and internet platforms have become an integral part of all our lives. Social networks are a great way to stay connected with others and find out about events and activities. There are many positives, but one should be wary about how much personal information should be posted. The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties is providing tips to safely enjoy social media and the internet. Age 16+
Workshop Highlights:
- Communication Techniques
- Internet safety strategies
- Social media safety strategies
- Insight on social media-related dangers (bullying, hate speech, trafficking)
- Best practices for texting and chatting.
When: Saturday, Feb12, 2022; 1 pm – 4 pm
Where: Online (Zoom)
Cost: Free
Limited capacity: 10 max (we need at least 6 individuals to hold the class). Aides and support staff are always welcome, if the individual needs support to participate in the class, via zoom.
