The Arc ADventures in Learning – Friendships
Learning how to make friends can be both a challenging and rewarding experience. Friends provide emotional support, teach us new things about the world, and make life easier in general. The facilitator Cynde Vaughn's (MSW) intent for this class is to provide appropriate education and support to ensure that young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn how to integrate themselves in the community, avoid exploitative relationships, and expand their social circle.

The Arc ADventures in Fun: Cooking with Joe
In collaboration with Denver Housing Authority and the Osage Cafe, The Arc ADventures in Fun self-advocate group is "Cooking with Joe" in April. We'll meet at the teaching restaurant (Osage Café) from 6:00-8:00p.m. The menu will have a gluten free and dairy free option. We look forward to enjoying good food, spending time with friends, and learning from the professionals. See you there!

A workshop for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Getting around town safely is a huge step toward independence and building self-confidence. Presented by The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties in partnership with Developmental Pathways, Denver Regional Mobility & Access Council (DRMAC), Via Mobility Services, The Regional Transportation District (RTD). Everyone in the community is welcome; however, our primary focus will center on the transportation needs of individuals with I/DD.

The nonprofit organization provides shelter and personalized services for women and transgender individuals experiencing homelessness. During our ADventure in leadership, we'll prepare and serve lunch to others while learning more about what The Delores Project is doing to to end homelessness by advocating for housing solutions.

The Arc ADventures in Fun: Picnic in the Park
The sun is out and the weather is nice - let’s go out and have FUN! Self-advocates are invited to a picnic at the Washington Park Boathouse.
