The Project with The C.U.R.E.

PC 1This month, The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties’ Two-Way Street Project ventured out once again to support non-profits in the community. During this particular outing, we partnered with Project C.U.R.E., a nationwide non-profit that collects donated medical supplies and redistributes them to countries around the world to people in need.

Our gang watched a video to learn more about the process, and then we took a tour of the facility and met the staff. Once we were oriented, we broke into groups and were assigned various tasks from separating, labeling, packing boxes, and categorizing supplies. pc 4

The packages we prepared were sent to Liberia, Ghana, and Uganda! We worked for three hours straight and loved every bit of it. We turned on music and laughed while we worked.

The mission of the Two-Way Street Projects shined as bright as ever – to educate our gang about the great work being done in our community, and to educate our community about the ability and style of The Two Way Street! We are loving this journey and plan to continue getting out there and leaving hard work and big smiles in our path. Next month, we will  speak to the special education team at the Colorado Department of Education on April 18! This is event is not to be missed. Please be sure to contact Kim Tenure to RSVP at [email protected] or 720-457-1032.
