The Two Way Street Restored in the Community

By Jonah Berger

Last week, the Two-Way Street Project ventured out into the community once again to share our time and hearts with non-profits who are doing great things.

This time, we partnered with Habitat for Humanity and volunteered at the Denver Restore (one of 5 stores in the metro area). Restores receive donations from the public, cleans and refurbishes these donations, and then sells them back to the public at discounted prices.  All of the proceeds from the Restore go directly into Habitat for Humanity and their mission to build homes for those in our community that cannot afford a home.

We were welcomed by the Director of Volunteers and provided an orientation about Habitat and the history of the amazing organization.

Then we received our gloves and smocks and it was off to work!!!

Our gang welcomed donors and unloaded their donations, we worked to put all donations in their proper places out on the floor, and assisted customers with all of their needs. When our shift was over, the manager told us he hadn’t laughed with a volunteer group as much as he did with ours.

Once again, The Two-Way Street Project lived up to it’s name by learning about what is happening in our community, and sharing the magic our gang radiates.
We have an amazing summer of partnerships coming up, so don’t miss a thing!  Contact Kim Tenure to learn more about what we have in store.  You can email her at [email protected] or give her a call at 720-457-1032.

Until next month, may all of your benefits be Two-Way!
