The Two Way Street Spirit of Giving

By Jonah Berger

Over the weekend, The Two Way Street returned to our home base, The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties to prepare lunches for individuals affected by homelessness.  We learned all about the St. Francis Center of Denver to gain a better understanding of the reason we gathered that Saturday afternoon.  The St. Francis Center provides shelter and other services for individuals who need help transitioning out of homelessness.

We prepared 100 sack lunches which contained peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, granola bars, fruit, first-aid kits, and water bottles.

As we worked, we got to know each other better, and we talked about how donating our time is a way of showing appreciation for the blessings in our lives that we all too often take for granted.

The Two Way Street Project is all about giving back, especially during this time of year.  Don’t miss our annual holiday party on December 7.  Check for details and RSVP today!
