On Sunday, January 3rd, the Two-Way Street Project ventured out yet again to volunteer in the community, share our unique spirit, and learn. This month we traveled to Urban Peak, a wonderful organization that provides shelter, food, and counseling to youth ages 15-21 experiencing homelessness.
We went out in the community to served lunch to the homeless. When we returned to Urban Peak, we were able to ask staff about their mission to learn more about how they enrich the lives of others.
Later in the day, we headed to the kitchen at Urban Peak to prepare lunch – pizza, salad, and fruit for 30! You should have see our team working together.
A glance around the room reminded me of why this group is called “The Two Way Street Project“. We learn from every place we go, and every place we go learns from us!!!
